For us to begin an investigation, both parties must agree to the following provisions. They may sound harsh, but we are a level-headed and easy-going group. These are designed to protect both you and us. If you have any concerns about any of these conditions, feel free to contact us as we will be happy to discuss any of these with you and alleviate any concerns you may have.   

• During the investigation, conditions are required to be ideal for an investigation. This is very important for the integrity of the evidence. We will work with you through the investigation to ensure ideal conditions. If conditions can not be accommodated, we can end an investigation. (In friendlier terms, we can not investigate during a party or with televisions, radios, and all the lights on.)  We will work with you beforehand to set up a time and day that is convenient for an investigation.We are not like furniture delivery people or repairmen – we do not give windows of time. We will set up a convenient time for you. 
• Waivers protecting both Manchester Paranormal Investigation and the property owner must be signed. 
• If a paranormal claim can be attributed to electrical, plumbing, or any structural deficiency of the building or an item within or nearby the building itself, only a licensed professional in that field can diagnose and repair. MPI can not be held liable for not diagnosing any problem as we are not licensed electricians, plumbers, pest control, or contractors. We will suggest contacting a licensed professional in these fields for diagnosis. 
• A safe environment is required for an investigation. (In other words, lock up your guard dogs, lock the premises during an investigation, clean up any spilled nails, and notify us of any known hazards.) If during the site visit or investigation, hazardous conditions become apparent, we have the right to terminate the investigation. We may reschedule if conditions improve.
• While this is extremely rare, Manchester Paranormal Investigations can end an investigation if it is deemed that the entity is aggressive, demonic, or can cause bodily harm to either the property owners or investigators. In this case, MPI will provide contacts that have experience in removing threatening or demonic entities. It is a very specialized field and is a dangerous one. We say this is rare because many paranormal investigators with decades of experience have not dealt with this, but it does occur. 
• If during the investigation a device is found to create a false positive, or any equipment is found to be tampered with, the investigation will end immediately and we will not return to the property or work with the contact again. 
• Manchester Paranormal Investigations owns the usage rights of any and all evidence gathered by investigators and/or on equipment owned by Manchester Paranormal Investigations. All efforts will be made to protect your identity on the evidence. You will be given a copy of all evidence and if there are any concerns we will be happy to work with you regarding your privacy. 
• We will maintain your privacy at all times. We will not release your name or business name or location without your written consent.

Again, do not be scared off by the conditions as we are an easy-going group. We need to protect ourselves from false claims – there are many horror stories out there about false claims – both to the investigator and property owner. 

We will provide you a professional team. Our reputation means too much to us. We have strict rules to follow and will not tolerate even one minor slip-up. During our investigations, we will urge extreme caution and operate as guests within your property.  We will never abuse that privilege.
